Making sense of Quantum Mechanics with Jean Bricmont and P

This week, we start the episode with some inter-dimensional T.V. hosted by some characters from a different (cartoon) universe. The interview with this week’s guests starts at around 72 minutes. We talk with Jean Bricmont and P about the idealist misinterpretations of quantum mechanics over the years and how that has been aided by McCarthyism and general anti-communism in academia to obscure the important contributions of American physicist David Bohm. Jean is a researcher, professor, and the author of the 2016 book ‘Making Sense of Quantum Mechanics’ and ‘ Quantum sense and nonsense’. P, who helped in making this interview possible, is a graduate student in quantum physics.
